Hi I'm Annie-Rose

I come from a family of 9. I've been studying to become a Radiographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am now 20. I have completed two years of a four year Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging at university. I love it! It is hard to stay focused at times but I know it is worth it. I do casual work to try and pay for the expenses that always seem to come up in life. In the spare time that I have I enjoy relaxing, doing a bit of exercise here and there but that is inconsistent for me. Reading, drawing and painting have been hobbies of mine as well as playing piano and guitar. I'm not great at any of them but I enjoy them all! Growing up in a large family has been a blessing but the funny thing is that you don't realise it at first. I love being surrounded by my family, telling jokes and just listening. We are all vastly different in personality but have similar habits and character traits. I have many childhood memories that involve my family and I am grateful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church but I have also been converted myself. It was not sudden, it was gradual. As I was taught, I would listen and I would live it because that is what I thought was best. Through living the principles of the gospel I have come to see the promised blessings occur in my life. I have been able to pray to my Heavenly Father and receive answers, guidance, comfort or forgiveness. I have different memories for each one. It has not always been easy and I have questioned why I continue to live the gospel. However, every time I would remember the many spiritual experiences that I have had and I would recall my testimony and I would find myself feeling the reassurance that the gospel is true and that what I am doing is right. The fact is that I have come to learn for myself through the promptings of the Holy Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is God's and Christ's only true church on the earth today. It contains the whole truth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, called of God to restore the gospel to this earth. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon, only as he was worthy, through the power of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is another true testament of Jesus Christ and that it applies to us in this day. We can learn so much from reading and applying the doctrines and principles into our lives. The Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the bible as both teach and testify of Jesus Christ and contain the instructions on what we need to do in order to return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and I know that He wants us to return to live with Him so He sent his son to atone for our sins and overcome physical death. He also wants us to learn and grown as much as we can in this life which is why He will not just take away all our struggles as much as we might like. When I reflect on the harder times in life I would never change them because I have learnt so much.

How I live my faith

I think that a great way to participate in the community is to treat everyone you meet with the kind of love and respect that they deserve as a unique, wonderful human being, and more so as children of God. That is what I try to do. I have made so many wonderful friends that I care for and who, in turn, care for me. I have had many opportunities to teach youth at Church. To be able to share with them principles upon which they can build their life. I have shared my fairly recent experiences as a youth and the trials and struggles I faced and what got me through the hard times. I have come to love the youth more as I have gotten to know them. Because of my desire to share what I know, and because I feel this is what I need to do, I have taken the next to years off my uni degree to serve a Mission in Argentina. This is not something I do lightly, or with little consideration The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me such joy and through so much that I know it will bless those who choose to listen. I am waiting in nervous and excited anticipation to be able to leave for my mission and hopefully uplift and serve those with whom I will come into contact. If I am able to do that for even one person I would be overjoyed.
