Hi I'm Tyler

I love God and I love the restored Gospel. I play soccer and enjoy pokemon on weekends. I am a mormon.

About Me

I love to serve in the church. There is no greater joy on this earth than serving my fellow man and ultimately God. I love to play soccer. Whether its competitive with a club or some back yard shananogans with my brothers its always fun and always memorable. I also enjoy playing pokemon, yu-gi-oh, magic the gathering, and any other type of competitive nerd play. Especially when its family game night with my brothers and sister.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I didn't always enjoy my faith even though I grew up in the gospel. It wasn't til I was about 17 that I really put in the effort to find out who I was and what I believed. It started off with prayer, even when I was doing the most wretched sins, I knew Heavenly father still wanted to hear from me. I know that he answers prayers. Along with my faith and devotion to better my life, the spirit, Holy Ghost, was the foundation of my conversion. I know the church is true. When times are tough and the hills appear to be mountains, the gospel is always right there beside me ski lifting me to the top. I know the church is true. Never will any worldly thing bring the peace and the foundation that is felt in the gospel. The hardest thing that I learned through my conversion to the gospel is that we are all searching for happiness. It just depends on whether we search for that happiness through temporary pleasures or eternal peace. The gospel allows us not only to receive, but to feel that eternal peace in this life and the life to come. I love my Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. I am truly blessed and my only desire is to share those blessings with others.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a disciple of Christ. I make it a priority to go home teaching every month and extend that hand of fellowship to those I am called to look after. I also look forward to every opportunity I have to teach, whether that is teaching an investigator of the church while out with the missionaries, family home evening teaching my family, or whether that is preparing a lesson and teaching the ward during church. There is no better way to strengthen my faith and testimony in God than by sharing that with others.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We need to pray. Whether that is a prayer of humility and faith or an angry prayer of problems and concerns. God is our father in Heaven and our relationship can only grow if we put in the effort to develop and find out who He is. Communication is the first step and that is why prayer is so important.
