Hi I'm Rich

I grew up in Logan, Utah and lived throughout the United States, including, California, Minnesota, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania

About Me

I served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in London, England from 1976-1978. I attended Utah State University and graduated in 1982. My favorite thing to do is to enjoy time with my wife, our three daughters, and our 8 grandchildren. My world revolves around them. I played a lot of sports while growing up and still enjoy all sporting activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith that the Book of Morman is the Word of God and it is a second witness that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. I am Mormon because it helps me be a better person I am Mormon because the principles taught and practice lead me to a wonderful temporal happiness and I have faith that it will led to greater happiness in the world to come. I am Mormon because of the greater light that the Plan of Salvation brings into my life. Families can be together forever and I will be able to see and converse with my Father and Mother again, who have passed away from this life. It is these principles and gospel teachings that help me endure life's hardships.

How I live my faith

I work hard to live my faith and to serve others as much as I can. I have served in 4 different Bishoprics over the last 13 years. They ranged from typical Family wards to Young Single Adult wards in downtown Philadelphia. Over the years, I have found that I am happiest when I can serve and work with others. Some of the my most gratifying moments were times when I watched other achieve more than they ever expected that they could, or watching how lives be changed when a person or family unit embraces the gospel and lives it to their best ability. I am confident that as we serve others, we are serving the Lord.
