Hi I'm Jared

I am a musician. I love to perform and make people laugh. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and bred in Idaho and I love being out of a city. My passion is the Performing Arts. In high school, I played tuba in the band, sung tenor in the choir, and did as much theater as I could. I do a lot with my hands. Out of boredom, and to keep my mind occupied, I make things out of anything. Any old paper becomes origami, any dead electronic equipment becomes my personal stash of parts, and almost anything else I find something to do with.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life and sometimes I took it for granted. When you are LDS and almost everyone else around is LDS, you don't know what the rest of the world is like. I have come to know that there are so many people wandering in darkness without the light of truth not even knowing that there is a light brighter than what they have. I want to bring that light to them. I want to somehow show them the truth that I was born into; I know now that what we have in this church is more precious than anything that anyone could possibly imagine. This gospel is the only thing that can give true peace. When you put all of your trust in God and you know that you have done your absolute best to do everything that He has asked of you, you can feel the peace and joy that God provides.

How I live my faith

I teach the children in my ward who are 10 years old turning 11 and it has been one of the best blessings I have ever received. I get to teach the kids the basic doctrines of Christ and since I am teaching, I am learning. I find myself being the teacher that they can laugh at and with, and because of this I understand them and can see their struggles and then strengthen them with the gospel of Christ.
