Hi I'm Van

Raised in Utah. I can do a lot of stuff...except skateboard. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE the outdoors. Rock climbing, mountain biking, dirt biking, camping, hiking and all things active in the outdoors are what I love to do. I will be attending BYU Provo after I return from serving the people of the Mexico, Merida mission and plan on raising a family in the gospel while continuing to serve the Lord throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Because this is the true fully restored gospel on our Earth today. Because God is the same today, yesterday, and forever, and also because of all He has given me. Because god has allowed me to experience the joy I feel while being apart of this church, I can follow his commandments and be the person he wants me to be. The Lord allowed me to come to Earth and experience life, and so I choose to give my life to him. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith confidently. I firmly believe that all who give everything they have to the Lord will be blessed beyond what ANY temporal source can provide. I also believe that example is one of the greatest forms of teaching. If you live your life in accordance to the standards and commandments given by the church then I can testify to anyone that the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion, and it is only through the Holy Ghost that anyone can be taught the gospel then become truly be converted and receive the fullness of the gospel. Being confident in this gospel will lead to not only your own personal conversion, but also be a rock on which others can build their testimonies. That service is what someone did for me and I will continue to do for everyone. Our lives here on Earth are a great opportunity to serve our fellow man. Also through righteous service, we become closer to our Heavenly Father and experience true joy.
