Hi I'm Branden Haws

I was born and raised in Arizona. I love my wife! I served a mission for the Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love playing soccer, hanging out with my friends, going to the movies with my wife, and video games! I tend to laugh very easily and I love jokes! I'm taking online courses to get my degree in psychology! My dream is to become a seminary teacher for the Church!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I gained a personal witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world; He is my Savior and yours. When I learned for myself that Christ loves all of us so much and He was willingly to suffer and die for us, it changed my entire outlook on life. I know that each of us is a son or daughter of a loving Heavenly Father! I struggled for a long time with self-worth and my self-esteem, but thanks to Jesus Christ, that has all changed. I choose to follow Him because He helped me to understand that my life has a purpose and so does everyone else's. His love and gospel have brought me so much happiness and understanding and I am very grateful for that! Thanks to His gospel, we also know that there is a life after this one and we can live with our families forever in the presence of Heavenly Father and the Savior! I know that these promises are true and that by obeying Christ's commandments, we can receive them! This is why I am proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

"By small and simple things are great things brought to pass" -Alma 37:6 (from the Book of Mormon). I feel that the best way for me to honor my beliefs is to apply them in my everyday life and let my actions speak for themselves. I do my best to look for opportunities to help people or answer questions they may have about the Church. I love going to visit people with the missionaries as they teach them about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also attend church services with my wife on Sundays and we meet with other members of the Church to strengthen each other and learn more about the Savior and His teachings. Some other things that help me to strengthen my faith are studying the scriptures and prayer.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Branden Haws
As followers of Jesus Christ, we love Him and the gospel message He brought to the world. Missionaries are witnesses of the joy, peace, and security that comes from obeying the Savior's commandments. They volunteer to serve for eighteen months to two years to preach the gospel because they love the Lord and want to help others to come to know Him. Missionary work is a response to the Savior's commandment to "Go...and teach all nations" (Matthew 28:19) and to help missionaries and those they teach to become "doers of the word" (James 1:22). We believe that acting upon the word of God helps us to deepen our faith. They invite others to listen to their message and take action that will help others to draw closer to Jesus Christ and build a personal relationship with Him. I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2011-2013. This experience has changed my life forever and has helped me to come to know Jesus Christ personally. I learned many valuable lessons about life and faith through the examples of the wonderful people of Argentina and I was fortunate to witness the joy of the Savior's love come into their hearts. If you see the missionaries, I highly recommend that you invite them into your home and listen to their message. It will bring you happiness, guaranteed! Show more Show less
