Hi I'm Josh

I love football. I am a missionary in the Vancouver Canada mission. I love my mission more than Disneyland. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in the Canada Vancouver Mission. I am speaking Spanish on my mission to Canada. Yes I was just as confused as you are. Needless to say I am learning a lot more Spanish than I had back home which consisted of the general items you can get from Taco Bell. I am the oldest of 3 kids. I love sports, mostly football. I love to go out and do something new. But sittin' by the fire telling stories is fun too. I can pound a good old-fashioned American cheeseburger as well as the next guy. I love to watch "the Office." I have an awesome family. I love Jesus Christ. Our relationship (Me and Jesus) is probably one of frustration for him because it takes me a while to figure out how to do things the right way. But we are working on that. I can't really sing. Dancing isn't my forte either. Best air-drum player you've ever met though. I want a lot out of my life. My life isn't long enough to accomplish everything. But when we get to the finish line.. I hope to look back and be happy and fulfilled. I want to live a life where the stories I tell my grandkids are unbelievable and so outrageous that they just might be true. Hope to write a few books. Learn how to paint. The list goes on and on. But that's enough for a Mormon.org profile. :) Go out and live your dream. Not enough people do that anymore.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings purpose to my life. It allows me to live with my family forever. It lets me know that my Savior loves me and knows me as an individual and that I am never alone. It give me hope and comfort through all the different things in my life. It makes me happy. It has brought my family close and it gives me the knowledge that after this life I will see my family again. I am a Mormon because I can't deny the knowledge and the experiences I have had. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and consequently this church is true and Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and so are his successors. Being a Mormon and everything it entails have brought be from the depths of darkness to the blinding glory of my Savior. I am a Mormon because Christ lives, and this is HIS church.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary in the Canada Vancouver Mission. I left on my mission on November 19, 2014. It has been the most awesome experience I could have hoped for. It has strengthened my testimony of Jesus and how much he loves me. I want everyone to feel the happiness that I do. I didn't always have the strongest testimony.. but after following the admonition of Amulek and "experimenting on word" I have found such an incredible sense of peace and purpose in my life. I guess in reflection I had so many chances to change, to grow, to walk into the light. But it had to be my decision. Father in Heaven will always be there for us.. even when we aren't. I am still a "normal" person. I enjoy hikes, original ideas, sports, grand vistas, and adrenaline rushes. I love being around people that aspire to be something more.. isn't that what our purpose is? To eventually become as our Heavenly Father? I just can't imagine not being a Mormon. It'd be weird. And right now as a missionary for his church in the Canada Vancouver Mission I can help other people find the same happiness and truth I have. I guess in a few words I live my faith because of one simple truth. And I quote the Lord in the words he used to answer my friend Remundos' prayer. "Aqui tendras una familia eternal" (Here you will have an eternal family). I can't imagine existence without those I love. My parents and siblings and the future family of my own.
