Hi I'm Coby

I'm a runner. I do construction. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started working in construction 6 months ago doing concrete. Before that I worked in a furniture store doing a little bit of everything. For schooling I did a head start program at the college for my junior and senior year which allowed me to get college credit. I'm a soon to be missionary for the church and I plan on continuing my education when I get back. As far as hobbies go I enjoy almost all athletics. I recently ran in a half-marathon and took third in my age group. My favorite sport is soccer and love to play it. I'm one of seven kids and the second oldest.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church since I was a kid. For a long time I was just going through the motions, which means I would go to church but I wouldn't listen or really learn anything. Little over a year ago it changed and I started listening, read my scriptures and prayed to know if what I was reading was true. I felt a warmth that I knew was an answer to my prayer. I'm a member of the church because it makes a happier person, gives me a purpose and I feel like I am a better person because of it. I'm about to head out on my mission to share this with others and in doing so I hope that it I can grow closer to God.

How I live my faith

I'm a soon to be missionary, so I will spend two years going out and sharing the gospel. Currently I am the basketball coach for the youth of the church who just finished up the season. I have been a home teacher for 4 years now. Home teaching is when you go to other members homes, check up on them and help them with anything they need.
