Hi I'm Kathy

I have lived in Utah throughout my life. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

For the majority of my working career I was fortunate to be able to work with special needs children. I recently retired and am enjoying being able to spend more time with my family....especially my grandchildren!

Why I am a Mormon

I was not raised in an active Mormon family, but because of the positive influence of good friends, and my maternal grandparents, I became active in the church. I was blessed with good leaders, both within my ward and in seminary. I loved the teachings about temple marriage and eternal families, and yearned to be a part of that. My little sister had died in infancy, and I had 3 other sisters and parents who I loved dearly. I wanted our family to be eternal. As I entered my teens, I decided that I wouldn't settle for anything less than a temple marriage, because I wanted to be with my future husband and family forever. My calling as a wife, mother and grandmother has been my greatest blessing. The principles of the gospel have always brought me peace and strength. I love my Savior and am so thankful for his atonement. I love the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I am so grateful for the blessings of the Temple. I am grateful for a living prophet who leads and guides this church. I can't imagine my life without my testimony of the gospel. I am grateful for the lord's continued blessings in my life. My parents became active in the church in their later life and we were able to be sealed to them. My father served in 2 bishoprics, once as a counselor and once as a bishop. It was a miracle in my life! I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven and to my Savior Jesus Christ for their many blessings.

How I live my faith

I am active in my ward and have especially enjoyed working with the youth. Most of my church service has been spent working with young women and children, as a teacher and leader. I have also loved getting to know my sisters as I have served as a visiting teacher.
