Hi I'm Rulon

I was born, raised and still live in Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Rulon. I was born and raised on a farm and learned to work hard. I served in the military in the Special Forces. I am now retired and enjoy life as a grandpa. I am a licensed Amateur Radio Operator and work in supporting emergency communications in my city. I also enjoy woodworking as a hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

Some of my ancestors were early members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) and were among some of the early pioneers who traveled to the Salt Lake Valley. My great-great grandfather was a leader in one of the companies of pioneers who arrived in the Salt Lake valley in 1850. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive to live by the teachings of that gospel. Although I was born into a Mormon family, I had to become converted by exercising faith and studying and applying the principles of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I testify that through the Prophet Joseph Smith, the gospel was restored to the earth. I have prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked him to know the truth and he has answered my prayers. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. That knowledge came to me after much study and prayer. I testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the World and it is by living his gospel that we will be saved.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church, most recently in a leadership role in my local congregation. I have been a teacher in Sunday School and served in many other roles in my Church. I love serving others in my community and have been involved in many service projects.
