Hi I'm Jenetta

I was born and raised in Arizona. I love to dance, play soccer, and laugh. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and am number five out of seven kids. I love being a part of a large family, they are my favorite people in the world! Right now I am in college and studying to earn a nursing degree. When I'm not studying for my classes I love hanging out with my friends, dancing, playing soccer, writing, being outside, and just enjoying life in general. This June, I will take an 18 month break from school to go on a mission to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I will get to serve to people there and tell them about God's love for them. I'm so excited for this and cannot wait for all of the amazing people I will get to meet, serve, and learn from.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is simple and still growing but it is strong. I know God is my Heavenly Father who loves his children so much that he sent his own son, Jesus Christ to atone for all of our sins. This way we can return to live with God again one day. I know that Christ not only atoned for my sins but also experienced all of my trials, sorrows, confusion, and that I am never alone because he always knows exactly what I am going through, he is my best friend. I believe that families can be together forever which brings me so much peace and joy because I love my family more than I even know how to put into words. When it comes down to it though, I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon, learned about the church, and prayed to ask God if it is true. When I prayed to know if this church is true God answered me and told me that it is. The more faith and devotion I show to God the happier my life is and the more peace I feel each day.

How I live my faith

All growing up those around me have told me I'm a people pleaser and that may be true, because I really do just love people. This church has taught me that everybody on this earth is a child of God and that we are all important and loved by Him. To me, this means that I should try to see everybody as Christ does and treat them as our Savior would treat them. Each time I meet somebody new, I try to see them in the best light possible. I'm definitely not perfect at this, but as I try to be better and better at being kind to people, I've been blessed with amazing friendships that bless my life. And hopefully I've been able to bless other's lives as well.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Mormons believe that God is our Father and that we are his children. This is why we often refer to him as our "Heavenly Father". He is a perfect father, he knows and loves us each individually. We believe God is kind, loving, and merciful and that through prayer and faith, we can build a stronger relationship with him while we are here on earth. Show more Show less
