Hi I'm Tyler Marlowe

I'm a runner, reader, and lover of nature. I am serving as a full-time missionary in the New York Rochester Mission.

About Me

I am an avid distance runner and run nearly every day. I am third in a family of six children--five boys and my wonderful older sister and parents. I was accepted to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah prior to my mission and have plans to study Microbiology there when I return. I love anything having to do with the outdoors including running, hiking, skiing, and biking. I love to learn, read, and talk to people! There is nothing in my life I would rather be doing right now than serving the Lord in New York.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Savior Jesus Christ, and being a part of His church helps me to grow close to Him. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I desire to follow and become like Him, and the church gives me many opportunities to do just that. I know that through following the Savior, there is more happiness to be gained than possibly imaginable. Being a Mormon gives purpose, fulfillment, direction, and joy to the life I live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the simple acts of every day life. I believe that one big purpose of my life is to uplift the people around me. My faith in the Savior Jesus Christ moves me to have compassion and empathy for the people I see as well as have an intense desire to serve and help them. I believe that I was given the talents that I have for the purpose of helping others of God's children and I know that through simple acts of faith, I can help other people to enjoy the same happiness and peace that I have gained from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
