Hi I'm Sadie Dye

I'm a born and raised Oregonian. I love my family, music and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Sadie and I am a Mormon. I have been born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have lived in the same city and same church ward my entire life. I love it here. This is my home. I have 7 siblings and two wonderful parents. I attended public schools and I absolutley loved my time in high school. I sang in my school choirs for 7 years and I loved every minute. My favorite classes were psychology, government, and history. I hope to go into the medical field after I serve a mission. I've always know I've wanted to serve a mission so when I graduated, I began to prepare to serve a full time mission for my church. I am now going to be serving a full time, 18 month mission in Raleigh North Carolina. I love music, running and being outdoors. I run half marathons and compete in triathlons, even though I only compete with myself. My favorite thing to do is to hangout with my cousins at my grandparents farm.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. I love it with all my heart and I know it is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior. His atonement is real and is for each and everyone of us. He suffered and died for each of our individual sins and trials. His love is so great for you and I. He is my Heavenly Brother and he loves me just as (and so much more) than real brothers can love. He is perfect and we should all strive to be as Him. We need to love and follow the commandments that our Heavenly Father has given us to keep us safe. I know that through our Heavenly Fathers plan and the atonement of Jesus Christ we can return to them and live with them in glory for eternity. Heavenly Father has given us Prophets and Apostles to guide us through these tough times. They are true Prophets of God. All they say and teach comes from Heavenly Father. Joseph Smith is a true Prohet of God. He did see Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. He resorted the true church to the earth and translated, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Every single word in that book is the word of God. I can only hope and pray that by faith and hard work I can bring this perfect gospel to those who are ready to hear it and for those who are searching for the peace that the gospel bring. I love this church and I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father. This church has brought so much peace and assurance in my life and I want others to feel and have what I have.

How I live my faith

When I was a youth, I served as a president in my Beehive, Mia Maids and Laurel class. It was an amazing opportunity to build my leadership skills and my love for my fellow classmates. I taught the younger children in primary for a couple of months which was very fun! They have such strong testimonies even though they were only four or five years old. I have been serving as the ward chorister for the past two and a half years. I have enjoyed being able to be involved in my wards music each Sunday. Music brings such an amazing spirit to every meeting.
