Hi I'm Abe Morgan

I grew up in Ohio. I served 24 years in the U.S. military. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the LDS Church when I was in high school, and I have been a member for over half my life now. While I remember how confusing it was at the beginning with terms like "Stake Center" and "Relief Society," now I can't imagine living any other way. I served 24 years in the U.S. military and retired in 2013 after tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, among other locations. I am married and have four grown children and one grandson. I enjoy staying active running, weight lifting, and biking, and I also enjoy reading sci-fi and science fantasy as well as trying my hand at writing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have always believed that families can be forever, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides a way for this to happen. I also am grateful to know that not only does Christ still live, but He continues to guide us through the Holy Ghost in our daily lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by trying to remain close to Our Savior by daily prayer, scripture reading, and attending church on Sundays. I am currently serving as the Ward Clerk in my congregation, and that allows me an opportunity to serve my ward in administrative matters that I otherwise wouldn't get to do. I have served in the past in a variety of callings in the church, my favorite one being when I was called to teach the youth of the church in Sunday School.
