Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Idaho, USA. I attend Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student. I'm single and am planning on going on a mission. I enjoy reading books, particularly fantasy fiction. I like to snow ski, hike, and just be outdoor. One of my favorite hobbies is building with Lego bricks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Even so, I have a conversion story. I have always lived the Gospel, but for a long part of my life it was more just a lifestyle than a true commitment. Well, in my teenage years I had fallen into a dark place. It was awful. To keep a long story short, I repented. I repented and allowed the Atonement of Christ to work in my life. I have never felt greater joy. I can honestly say I am converted now. I love the church, and I love Christ and what he's done for me. I believe the Gospel is true and I believe in Christ. I believe he loves me beyond my comprehension and I love him. I don't know what I'd do without him.

How I live my faith

In my ward I serve as one of the chairman's for the music committee. I'm in charge of organizing the music for each sacrament meeting. Every week I choose a pianist, chorister, and find a musical number. I also visit three families every month to see how they are doing and find out how I can help them.
