Hi I'm Lucas

I have overcome much adversity in my own way. I always strive to be the best I can be. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young single adult that made the choice to be the best I can be. I always try my hardest. I love art. It is a wonderful way of expressing. I always enjoy philosophy. I hope to be a biochemist one day. I hope to change the world in my own way. I never grew past enjoying games. Anything in life can be turned into a wonderful adventure. There is no such thing as a dull moment if you are conscious of the beauty of life. I believe that everyone has infinite potential. I am a firm believer in agency and respect how each individual chooses to use their potential. I know that I have directed the flow of energy in my life to positive goals and because of my faith I know that nothing is outside the realm of possibilities. I will always try to be as Christ was and never stop trying to grow. There is no better day than today to be the greatest person you have ever met. Never give up on faith. We all must endure until the end.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I always felt as if there was something bigger. Even as a child I would ponder some pretty big picture questions. My home life wasn't the worst, but it was by no means a typical family. Most of my childhood was spent trying to be a good person. For a time, I was lost. A small period of my life was not in alignment with the teachings of Christ. I was not raised in the church, so I could really only go by what I knew and what I was being told by the world. I was not healthy when I was a child. I made poor dieting habits. When I got into high school I cut most of the junk. I felt so much better. I always felt that health was an important aspect of life. That was one of the most appealing parts of the church to me. The profound teachings the church has were perfect for me. I like to think of myself as an instant-convert. The first time a missionary testified to me he looked me in the eyes and poured out his soul. I was mesmerized by the Spirit. I had a lot of opposition in my choice to become a member. After I had already joined the church and settled into the new lifestyle I visited Utah. I met with many families of the church. Most of them were returned missionaries. Their homes and families were outstanding. The families I saw, without realizing, convinced me that if I wanted what they had I needed to get into the game. I knew that the mission field was where I needed to take myself. I live by the gospel. I know of this truth for myself and always invite others to learn. I look forward to my life to come and I owe it all to the church, the members,Christ, the Spirit, and our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Not being raised in the church was a factor that played a big role into my transition of living. The more I learn the better I become. I had a calling to conduct discussions during the third hour of church. I also had three families that I would try to home teach. It was a long way coming for me, but the more time I dedicate to each calling the better my life and myself become. I am now a missionary. I have no desire but to share the pure love of Christ with others because of the Spirit. I am blessed for all of the opportunities I have to share this holy message.

What is being a Mormon like?

Lucas
Being a a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or Mormon, is by far the best part of my life. It works in all aspects of your life. I would not be as happy as I am today if I had not come to the church. Show more Show less
