Hi I'm Eli

I grew up in California. I want to be a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently enrolled in college at Brigham Young University-Idaho, but am about to leave for two years to serve a full-time mission in Pachuca, Mexico. I am a big fan of card and board games and I like to plan fun events to do with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it means that I am doing what my Heavenly Father wants me to be doing and because being a Mormon brings joy into my life in a variety of ways. I've grown up as a Mormon and have only learned to love being a Mormon more and more as time has gone on. I know that as I have experienced joy as a Mormon, others have noticed it and it helps to bring some level of joy into their lives.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite ways to live my faith is to serve others. I do this by actively being involved in the community through things like tutoring. I've loved the opportunities I have had to share nice little things about my faith with those who I have had the pleasure of working with. I also try to be a good example of love towards my fellow man by respecting others and doing what I can to show them that I care while still having a fun time with them.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Eli
We do not worship Joseph Smith, we worship our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Some people might get the impression that we worship the prophet Joseph Smith because we have so much love and respect towards him for what he has done for this Church. Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth in it's fullness, so naturally a lot of hardships fell upon him. Because of this we respect him much like we might respect a public hero like Abraham Lincoln. Show more Show less
