Hi I'm Nathan Byers

I'm a true born skier, boater, dirt biker, rugby player, Utahn spreading the good news in Taiwan! Life's chill and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love the outdoors! The mountains are my life! My pops put me on snow skis when I was three and since then I've conquered the snowboard, water skis, wake board, dirt bike, and anything else I can get my hands on! I've played rugby for the last three years and I love it... nothing beats getting smashed by a large Polynesian! Now I'm having a party in Taiwan helping these wonderful people come to know their Savior and Redeemer! Post-mish plan's to hit up college, get a dog, get a truck, then find a beautiful woman and marry her (as long as dog approves)!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've prayed and found out for myself that this church is true. I have had so many confirming witnesses of the truth of this gospel that I can't deny it. Living by the doctrines and teachings of this church brings a peace and comfort in my life that I never want to lose. I know this church is true, it has blessed my life and will bless everyone who comes to it.

How I live my faith

Well right now i'm serving a mission, trying to help everyone learn about Christ! Besides that I live my faith by being me! I try to be the best person I can be and try to help others be the best they can be as well! Living a gospel life is truly the best life a person can have!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Nathan Byers
One principle Mormons base their life off of is service. We are asked to serve everyone, our neighbors, our friends, our family, and people we don't even know. We choose to serve because we care about everyone and we want the best for everyone, whether they are of our faith or not. My favorite part of being in Taiwan is that I'm able to serve so many people that I've never met! Serving is the greatest way to show your love for a person and feel the way Christ feels about them! What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Nathan Byers
I'm a missionary right now and I love it! When we go over to people's homes we usually take a little bit of time to get to know them and then start sharing about how this church and the principles in the church can bless and strengthen them. Us missionaries really are their friends and we share the things that we know are true and will help them the most! It's an amazing experience being able to meet so many people and help them find the true source of happiness! Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Nathan Byers
I think the coolest thing about tithing, or donating 10% of our income to the church, is that we have the opportunity to participate in building up the kingdom of God on the Earth. Tithing is a great blessing which allows us to humble ourselves and give back a small portion of what God has given us. But the greatest part is God will then give us more, so much more that we won't be able to contain it all! Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Nathan Byers
I love being in nature. This whole Earth was created by God and as we spend time in nature we can come closer to Him. As I look at the stars, or see the scenery from the top of a mountain, just soaking in all of God's creations, I ponder my relationship with Him and a peaceful feeling comes into my heart that lets me know He loves me and created all of this for you and me, His children. God is the Father of our spirits and He really does love us. As we take time to think about Him, He will tell us that He is there and let us feel of His love. Show more Show less
