Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Utah. I'm on a mission in Thailand. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing basketball and snowboarding. I'm an Eagle Scout and I really love the outdoors. Hiking, biking, running, football, and tennis are just another few things I take pleasure in. As well as reading, watching movies, video games, TV, and studying history. I did a year of college away from home before coming back and getting a full-time job at a warehouse to begin saving money for my mission. I speak Thai and am currently serving in Thailand as a full-time missionary of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because throughout my life I have traveled many different paths, but the one that has given me the most happiness has been my path as a Mormon. I have come to realize for myself that this Church is true. That it only brings happiness, even during trials, I have been able to receive more joy in the Church than anywhere else in my life. I know that God loves me and blesses me as I live his commandments. I know President Monson, our prophet, communes directly with Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I know Christ is at the helm of the Church and that he will guide us through the stormy seas of the world. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ was the ultimate and unrepayable act of Love. Christ's sacrifice for us will allow us to do unimaginably great things and to live in happiness for eternity. I know this Church is true. I bear this, my testimony, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission in the Thailand Bangkok Mission. A mission is an opportunity to go out and share the teachings of Jesus Christ with people around the world. Young men ages 18-25 and women ages 19-99 are eligible for service. We are volunteers who do not get paid for our service. We save money before we go and use that to pay for our missions. And spend two years (for men) or a year and a half (for women), serving people and sharing the teachings of Christ.
