Hi I'm Jaden

I have lived in Utah, Texas, and Tennessee. I am a song writer and musician and I love to sing. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love music. I have always loved music. The most interesting thing about music is you can express your feelings in a way that words can't. I play guitar, piano and a variety of other instruments. I also enjoy writing lyrics. It is a way I am able to express my thoughts and feelings through something I love. I my last year of high school, I participated in a drum line and jazz band. I played as the lead snare drummer and the lead guitarist. We performed at basketball games, football games and a variety of gigs whenever we could find the opportunity. Performing in front of people always gives me excitement! Even though I am not extremely good at it, I also love to play basketball. The competitive environment really gets me excited! I always play when I get the chance, and I just try to have a good time, even when I mess up. I try to learn from my mistakes and play better the next time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and received a very strong answer from the Lord telling me that it is true. I felt that the The Book of Mormon is the absolute word of God. The feeling was so strong that I could not hold back tears from rolling down my face. I cannot deny the feeling I felt, because it was the Holy Ghost; neither can I deny the truth of the Book of Mormon. I am also a Mormon because I have felt the true healing powers of the Atonement. Because this church has the correct Priesthood authority, I am able to be made clean as long as I repent and never make the same mistakes. This Church is true. The Atonement is real. Jesus Christ lives. And repentance can heal anyone from any sin, no matter how severe!

How I live my faith

Just like I love music and sports, I also have a true love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have grown to sincerely love the lord. And just like when I mess up in basketball, I can sometimes make mistakes in life. But I try to learn from my mistakes and do better in the future. That improvement is only possible through the Atonement of Christ, and I am so grateful for that! I enjoy serving others and have found that service is one way to become truly happy. When I serve someone by performing a service that is normally paid for, the person receiving the service is always so happy! I can feel a certain love that I wouldn't feel if I was being paid for the service. That feeling is priceless and irreplaceable. It has helped me learn to love people and forgive them of their imperfections. I have learned to look past who a person is, and focus on who they can become. We are all children of God, and any child of our Heavenly Father can become extraordinary. In my years of home teaching (fellowshipping families in the church), I was assigned to a certain family who was inactive and struggling in many ways. My home teaching companion was a good example of persistence. He would make sure to always teach this family each month. Every time we taught, we would bear testimony of the truths and challenge them to improve in some way. Well, long story short, overtime I saw this family grow together and become stronger. I was able to witness them become active members of the church. I saw many blessings come in their lives when they started living better the commandments. They had many challenges waiting for them down the road; and I believe that that gospel gave them the strength they needed to pull through it all. This kind of change and conviction is what brings true happiness in life. And I am forever grateful that I was able to assist the Lord in bringing this family back to Him!

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Jaden
We believe that we lived with our Heavenly Father before we were born into this earth. Our time on earth is a testing period for the Lord to see if we are worthy to live with Him again. As we make mistakes we must repent and have a change of heart in order to pass this test on earth. When we pass away, we will be judged of our works and actions and will be placed in a kingdom that is fit for how we lived on earth. If we try our absolute best and repent of all of our sins, and become baptized in the true church, we will be able to live with God again in the next life! Show more Show less
