Hi I'm Chelsea Rae

I grew up in the beautiful deserts and mountains of Arizona. I love the outdoors, reading, the ocean, my pit bull and my family.

About Me

I love the outdoors! I love it so much I am currently attending university and studying outdoor recreation I hope to be a youth outdoor educator. I have 7 siblings all of which are boys! I am also a big book worm I worked in a book store for 3 years and am constantly browsing 2nd hand book shops. I shop exclusively at thrift store for all my wardrobe. I have a beautiful little pity (pit bull) who is quit possibly the sweetest dog in the world haha I'm not bias or anything;) I love my big huge family and game nights are some of my favourite nights of the year. I love traveling and have a deep love for the Sonoran Desert and the Pacific Northwest I will always consider both of those places home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to wonderful parents who were members of the church already, my grandparents and great grandparents were members as well, you could say I have come from a long line of incredible and faithful saints. I was raised with good values and morals and with parents who loved and supported me in whatever endeavours I choose to follow. As I graduated high school and found a new independence I was for the 1st time in my life faced with a decision of do I really live the gospel because I want to or am I just doing it because its how I was raised. I had moved out and was now living on the other side of the country and I had a decision to make no one could make to for me and know one would know either way the decision was entirely mine to make. I thought long and hard about everything I was taught about all the times in my youth I had felt the trueness of the gospel and I realises that the reason I was a mormon is not because my mom and dad were its wasn't because my grand parents or even my great-grandparents were. It was because I read the Book of Mormon I prayed to know of the truth of it, it was because I knew and still know that God lives and that he sent his Son to not only die but to be resurected so that we could once again live with him and our families. I come from a long line of incredible and faithful saints and it is my hope and prayer that one day my future generations will have the privilege of saying the same.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the same way I imagine many wonderful people do, day by day, step by step, and with a whole lot of faith! I serve in the church in a couple different ways, 1st and one that is very dear to my heart is family history work. I have always had a deep love and respect for the people who have lived before me and one way I serve both in the church and my ancestors is I index records which is the process of taking old scanned records and digitally entering them into a data base. From there I will find records and link families on FamilySearch.org. I love doing family history work! 2nd I am also what is called a visiting teacher which means that I am assigned a couple girl sin my ward to once an month go and give a short lesson to as well as checking in on how they are doing and performing whatever service and companionship they may be in need of, basically its a really good way to become close friends with people you might not have had the opportunity to fellowship otherwise.
