Hi I'm Chelsea

I live in a small Idaho town out on a dry farm. I will soon be a missionary serving in California on April 8, 2015. I am a Mormon.

About Me

When I was five years old, my parents separated and ended up in divorce. My soon to be step father baptized me into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was eight years old. When my mother got remarried we moved to live out on a dry farm in a small Idaho town. This is when and where I learned what it really meant to be a hard worker as there was always something to be done on the farm. I enjoy a wide variety of things from driving tractor to bucking hay to being girly and dressing up. I have been called to serve in the California San Jose Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. Even though I was born and raised in the church I still had to have my own conversion. I had to find out for myself if what I was learning and living was true. When I was sixteen years old I took a step back to look at my life. I kept questioning myself why I was a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I decided that if I was going to continue to go to church, it would be because I personally wanted to go and because I personally knew that the Church was true. I took the invitation that we read in the Bible in James 1:5 which states "If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." At that moment I prayed to God and He answered me. I found for myself that the Church was true and that God is always there for each and every one of us. I realized that He was with me every step of my life. I cannot say that it has been easy but I know that when I didn't have the strength to take another step that He was there to help me keep going. I invite you to take that invitation in James 1:5 to find our for yourself. I know that He will answer you! Just take that leap of faith and turn to God.

How I live my faith

My faith is something very dear to my heart. It is not just something that I only live when I attend my meetings. I live it everyday. My faith has helped shape me into the person that I am today.
