Hi I'm Amos Szvoboda

I was born in Switzerland, but also lived in Hungary, England and Vietnam. I am one of 10 kids in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Switzerland. Due to my father's company our family has moved around the world multiple times. I have lived in Budapest, Hungary for four years after living six years in Aargau, Switzerland, in Luton, England for two years, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for five years, in Szombathely, Hungary for three years and our family moved back to Switzerland just a few months ago. I love meeting new people. I very much enjoy playing many sports. My favourite sport is basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I have been very fortunate to have been raised in the church. Since I was little, my parents have taught my true and righteous principles. They have taught my to be obedient and to follow and keep the commandments given by God. I am so thankful that my parents have raised me in this faith, because I have received countless blessings from the Lord because of the obedience that I have learned from my parents. I was taught by my parents to pray and find out whether the Book of Mormon was true for myself, so I did, and God has answered my prayers. I know that God loves all his children and that he does communicate with all of them. He knows them each individually, by name. And he will answer those that earnestly ask him for the truth, and through the holy ghost we will receive an answer from Him. I also know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he is our big brother. He atoned for our sins and only through and by His name can we be saved.

How I live my faith

I've been a member my whole life. I go to church every sunday and I do my best to keep all the commandment given by the Lord. I am a hometeacher in my ward and I also participate in almost all activities provided by or organised by the church.
