Hi I'm Rachael

I grew up in Idaho. I have been taking dance since I was 3 years old. I Love spending time outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Love to play the piano! I started taking piano lessons when I was eight years old. And I haven't stopped playing since! I have been taking dance since I was three years old. I have always had a passion for it! I recently started running for exercise and I really enjoy it! I love how freeing it makes me feel. I am the oldest of six siblings. I like to go fishing, camping, and hunting. I just love being in the mountains! I enjoy spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has always been a part of the LDS church. My parents grew up in the church and they always believed that it was true. So they raised all of their children in the church, too! Growing up, I always relied on my parents testimony that the church was true. But as I started to get older, I knew that I needed to find out for myself. I remember my teacher talking about testimonies in seminary one day. He told us that we each needed to take the opportunity to pray on our own and find out if the church really is true. I kept thinking about what he had said. A couple of nights later I decided to pray about it. I remember feeling the spirit so strongly as I prayed. I asked Heavenly Father if this church really is the true church. When I finished my prayer, I felt this peace in my heart. I know that that was the spirit telling me it is true! I am so grateful that I am a member of the LDS church. It has brought so much happiness and peace into my life. I know that Joseph Smith really was a prophet. And I know that he prayed to find out which church was the true church. I know that miracles still do happen in these latter days! I am so grateful for the testimony that I have. I love this church so much!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others! I recently got a calling to teach a class of 6-7 year old girls. It has been a fun experience being able to teach them every Sunday. My testimony has greatly been strengthened by studying and teaching them lessons. The girls are such good examples to me and I love all of them! I am also a visiting teacher. I love getting to visit with some ladies in my ward. We get to know others better! And we can gain great friendships that we wouldn't otherwise have. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve others! I am currently serving in the Alabama, Birmingham mission! And I am loving it! As missionaries, we have a wonderful opportunity to teach and testify of Christ. This has been such a rewarding experience for me! I am so grateful to be able to dedicate 18 months of my life to serving the Lord!
