Hi I'm Richard

I currently live in Issaquah, Washington. I am married with four children. I worked for IBM and I am now retired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I had a great family that helped prepare me for the the opportunities and challenges of life. I spent two years serving a mission for our Church in New Zealand. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet many interesting and enjoyable people. I worked for 40+ years in the technology industry. I enjoy computers and all of the new electronic gadgets. I enjoy the outdoors especially in the summer when I can take long walks or hikes in the beauties of nature. Nature is wonderful testimony to me of God's great creations and His love for His children. I also enjoy sports of all kinds. I have been married for over 45 years to a wonderful woman. We have four great children, three girls and one boy. We have been blessed with 10 wonderful grandchildren that we adore. I enjoy people and learning about their story.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a strong testimony of the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ in these the latter days. I have read the Book of Mormon many, many times with a prayerful heart and the Lord has told me that it is true through the power of the Holy Ghost. The life that I live as a member of this Church brings true happiness because I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I know that our life upon this earth is but a stepping stone to an eternal existence that will be shared with our family and those we love for ever. Even though I was raised in the Church, I have received my own testimony and experienced my own conversion to this gospel as I have lived the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ and followed His direction. I am a Mormon because I know that it is true!

How I live my faith

My relationship with Jesus Christ and my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are very important to me. They are the guiding principles in my life. I have served in many church positions with both youth and adults. I find great joy in serving others, both in and out of the Church. I believe it is important to be tolerant and understanding of others. I have always tried to do that both in my professional and personal life. I firmly believe in the words found in the Book of Mormon, "when ye are in the services of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." My faith directs they way that I live my life. My priorities have been my relationship with my Heavenly Father first, my family second, and then my professional and other pursuits. I have found that if I seek first the Kingdom of God, everything else seems to fall into place.
