Hi I'm Nancy Howell Carroll

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. And, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Salt Lake City but am a native of Idaho with farming roots. My husband and I retired from Corporate America in July of 2013. We have enjoyed traveling together and spending more time with each other, and our family. I have especially enjoyed focusing more on my health by getting more sleep and working out regularly. I’ve also been reading more, catching up on journal entries, organizing photos, playing Sudoku and word search games for brain therapy, and utilizing the Family Search website.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon I was born a Mormon but never found peace until I embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ and totally committed myself to the Lord. I am a Mormon because I believe in the Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, and that He is the only begotten Son of God the Father. We each come to this world with the divine light of Christ. It is my belief that we each need to nurture that light and follow Matthew’s insight in the New Testament “ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” I believe this is the Savior’s church on the earth today and if we follow His teachings, we will not only find joy and happiness in this life but in the life to come. It is through our Savior that we will find our way back home to Him and God the Father.

How I live my faith

Regardless of your religion, I believe we are all children of God. I have many non-Mormon friends and I love them dearly! I live my faith by communicating with my Savior and Father in Heaven through prayer, scripture reading, music, serving my family, and others; by striving to be an example of the Savior’s good works to all those I meet. I have served others including non-Mormons as the ward Relief Society president and stake Relief Society president; also through the Cub Scout program, Primary, and Young Women’s program. I continue to serve as a visiting teacher, and am currently serving as the music coordinator for Sacrament meeting for our ward. Most of all, I enjoy preparing meals for those who are in need!
