Hi I'm Jeremiah Leonard

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has changed my life for the better. I love self-improvement.

About Me

I have lived in Utah, Missouri, and California USA. My mother is from Switzerland, and my father is from California. They have an incredible love story of how they met. My mother is the sweetest most pure person I have ever met, and my father the most honest (bias aside). They're parenting has formed me into being a very non-judgemental, understanding person. I am blessed with many many friends through the church, and outside the church (Varying from Atheist to Amish and others which don't begin with "A"). I play guitar and exercise, I enjoy videogames and critically acclaimed movies, and I study the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe in the charitable, kind nature of God. I believe in repentance and forgiveness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon thanks to two loving missionaries who helped me to exercise my faith. I wanted a positive change in my life and they promised it. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed daily as negative parts of my life gradually melted away. I prayed for better relationships in my life and was given friend after friend who loves me. And my own capacity to love myself and others has grown. I am a Mormon because I believe in a God of power and of love and of truth. And with that, I see the necessity that God would not cut communication with the earth after the death of Jesus and his apostles. God still wants to talk to us, and he uses apostles and prophets just as he did in times of old. He truly is a God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Also I feel like many other plain truths which vibrate so well with each of us universally are not presented in other religions. I believe that we did not appear from nothing into life. This church teaches a pre-mortal life. I believe I will still be with my family after death. This church teaches in heaven there IS husbands and wives. There are many criticisms against this church, and one can choose to believe them. But many are lies and if you believed the truths as easily as you believe the lies against this church, then you would quickly grow in faith, love, and power to choose the right decisions and live a happier life.

How I live my faith

The more I can separate myself from my pride and avoid offences, the more I see my spiritual back-bone grow. I seek first for my own spiritual growth. I have learned through trial and error that I need to work on my own faith first and foremost; this does not always come easy for me as I find it easier to love others before myself. Luckily, I grow as I help others (so long as it is done out of genuine concern). I therefore love helping those who haven't been Mormon their whole lives to work on their own faiths. I have faith in prayer -that it is communication with God. I believe as we pray to know something we want to know, we are blessed with help to understand it. I have personally seen the changes when one desires change and does simple daily behaviors such as praying and reading the scriptures -God's communication with you :). It is honestly that simple. Something as simple as reading the word of God and praying can completely change a person within a matter of months. That leaves an impression with me that I can testify: There is something here.
