Hi I'm Hailey Reynolds

I was born in California, raised in Idaho. I am currently a missionary and I'm serving in SLC, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at ISU and I am planning on going into nursing. I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, running, lake days, vacationing, reading, playing chess, photography, painting, drawing, going to history and art museums, hanging with my friends and my family, service, working, doing anything that results in an adrenaline rush and a whole lot more.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little girl (4 years), my dog ran away and so I prayed to my Father in Heaven and pleaded with him to return my dog to me. Right after I said 'Amen', she came running out of the bushes. My grandparents had been teaching me about Jesus Christ and how to pray, so I exercised my faith and I have known ever since then that my Heavenly Father listens to his children. My parents were not members of any church when I was at that age, but I knew that we had to start going. My mother was raised a Mormon and so my dad decided to take the lessons from the missionaries after I begged him and after he saw the simple miracle that came from a child's prayer. My dad was baptized after about a year of discussions and then he baptized me when I turned eight. I know that our Father in Heaven listens to all of his children and that you can turn to him no matter what you do; he will always listen to you and a response to your prayers can appear in many different ways. Some ways are a little more subtle than others, but that isn't the point. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that as you feat upon the words of Christ, you will understand him, love him, and become more like him through your trials, repentance processes, prayers...whatever exercises your faith, you will come closer.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am learning español. In the past, I have been a ward missionary, Beehive/Mia-maid/Laurel 1st/2nd counselor and President of all three (the teenage girl groups by age), chorister, camp director, activity planner, and stake youth council president. I try to attend church every Sunday, I avoid making purchases on Sunday, I do my best to follow the commandments of my Heavenly Father and to follow Christ's example.
