Hi I'm Makayla

I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Makayla, my family calls me Makay. I love my family so much! I am the oldest. Which really is a blessing in my life. I love to learn from children. I have learned so much from my siblings. I love to sing, so much that it became a rule growing up that "there is no singing at the dinner table." I love basketball even though I am not the greatest at it. I am currently a college student, and I love it here! I am studying Early Childhood/ Special Education. Striving to achieve my dream to be a Kindergarten teacher. I will be reporting to the MTC September 16th.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up my parents have always been very active members in the church. They raised me with the standards of the church. This was a huge blessing, even though I was different than everyone in my high school. I have noticed that the gospel brings not just happiness it brings JOY which is a longer lasting happiness. I wish I could tell everyone that. Families can be together forever through this amazing gospel. I want to have a family one day really centered on the gospel. I know that testimonies are developed individually. Testimonies can grow from experience, and really being in tune with the spirit. I have a testimony of the gospel and I know it is true. I know the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. The gospel brings joy to my life, and I know it is true. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The gospel has always been an important part of my life. I like to live my faith by striving to do what is right, and being active in the church. Another way we can show our faith is through callings. I have noticed that callings really are from Heavenly Father. I have learned as well as grown from having callings here in my YSA ward. Different people have different responsibilities, for a reason. We really try to take care of each other in the church. That is something that is so great about this church no matter where you go in the world. You will still have people that believe the same things.
