Hi I'm Annalilia

I am a Visitor Center Missionary, grew up in a military family of eleven, love Film Scores and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving a full-time mission in St. George, Utah. I am the oldest of nine children (five girls and four boys) and because of this I have become of fan of little kid movies and shows. Sometime you can catch me belting out Disney songs and even My Little Pony songs with my sister because she loves it and I like listening to her voice. It's hard sometimes but I love my siblings ALOT. I have play the violin (but I haven't practiced, so I am sure that I am not very good:) I am a military brat, whenever someone asks me where I'm from I can never really say because I have been all over!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and it something that I really cherish. I know the things that it teaches are true. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. How do I know? When I was little, we would sing the song "I am a Child of God" and I knew that he loved me. When someone would ask, I would always just think "Of course." But then right before I went on my mission, I really felt unsure, and that is when I got up from my bed and really got down and prayed to Heavenly Father for guidance. I got an answer. I know that Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ live and they love me and everyone here who ever was, is, or will be on the earth. They want each and everyone of us to return to live with him again. That is why they provided the perfect plan, of where Jesus Christ would come down here on Earth and sacrifice himself for all of our sins, imperfections, sufferings, you name it. So that through him, and applying his teachings (the Gospel) in our lives we can return to live with them again, with our families. I know that we can know of the truthfulness of the Gospel by reading the Book of Mormon and asking God through prayer. THE CHURCH IS TRUE! I have really seen it bless my family and now that I am on my mission, I have been given the opportunity to see how it blesses the families of others.

How I live my faith

I try to do my best in following the example of Jesus Christ. It is not easy, but I know that the Lord can and will help me to strive to become like Him. I am serving a mission but in addition I have the privaledge of serving a Visitor's Center. It is a place where anyone is welcome to enter and we explain and share the basic beliefs about the church. We meet people from all around the world, which makes it really exciting! Hola! Bonjour! Arriverderci! I love the Gospel, it is something that I have really come to appreciate. I try my best to serve others.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Annalilia
NO! We do not only help other Mormons, we help anyone who wants or needs help. Our Missionaries are always asking if they can help you in anyway from washing your dishes to mowing your lawn and its not just the missionaries, we members will love to help you too! Personal Experience: When I went to the Spanish branch in Virginia (I live in Hawaii now and go to a ward here) our branch president announced a ward service project. There was a farmer and his wife and they owned a old farm and needed to get rid of a couple of old chicken houses (and the houses were pretty big) so they could build something new. We went over to his farm on a early cold Saturday morning, and we quickly got to work, some pulled apart big chunks of the chicken houses and others pulled out nails that could be salvaged or recycled. I think that we had three buckets of nails! It was hard work and I could have easily decided to stay home and sleep in but doing the project was fun and I got to spend time with my friends in doing something good together. In the end, I think I only saw the wife of the farmer once. She brought lemonade and thanked us on behalf of her husband who was in bed rest for some reason and I never saw her again. It doesn't make me upset that she never came to our church or anything. I was just happy to serve her and her husband. So...If you ever need help with something, don't EVER be afraid to ask us!
