Hi I'm Emily

I go to college. I like K-pop. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I go to college in Utah. It is a great opportunity for me. I am majoring in Computer Science. I am thinking of minoring in Digital Media. I want to best equip myself with the skills I need in order to someday get the job that I want. This job is an animation rigger. They are the people who make the drawings so that they can be animated. When I'm not in school or doing homework, I like to watch TV and movies. I especially love anime, especially Miyazaki, and Korean dramas. I also enjoy listening to K-pop, playing basketball, and hip hop dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and I am so thankful for that. The influence that my parents had on me early on helped me to become a better person. I have noticed the strength that comes with being a member of the LDS church. I have slowly been able to add to my testimony that the gospel is true. My testimony has grown to the point that I want to share it with others. I have the opportunity to go to Brazil and teach the people there the gospel. It will be such an amazing experience and help my testimony to grow even more. I do not know what I would do without the gospel in my life. It has been there for me my whole life, so I have never felt it gone. I have had my times of doubt, but the doubt goes away with study of the scriptures and truly heading to the spirit. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith translated it correctly according to God's commands. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as distinct beings and was authorized to restore the church to the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today and will guide the church in the direction Heavenly Father wants it to go. Finally, I know that Jesus Christ truly suffered for the sins of all the world. His atonement is such a blessing in my life because I know that even if I slip, he will forgive me if I just repent. His atonement made it possible to return to our Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful that I have that opportunity. I know that as I keep doing what I am supposed to do I will someday return to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church is to teach the 11 year old girls in my ward. There are not very many of them, but it is a great opportunity. They are at an age where they will begin facing new experiences, so I have partial responsibility to make sure they are prepared.
