Hi I'm Casey Riffenburg

I grew up in Arizona; I wrestled, played golf, sang in choir and I'm a Mormon serving God in Oklahoma for 2 years.

About Me

"I'm a fat cat living in a world of mice." I am the third son of loving parents who know the difference between wrong and right. The most important thing I've learned in life is that giving up is not an option, ever. I've fulfilled most of my goals in my life; hiking the Grand Canyon in a day, surfing in the ocean, singing every single day but the greatest thing that I've been given the opportunity to do is serve a mission to bring people closer to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because nothing else in this world gives me more pride than saying that I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that life is full of challenges and that sometimes we make mistakes during these rough times, thankfully we have a loving Heavenly Father who made it possible for us to be saved and return back to Him. He sent his son Jesus Christ, our Brother/Savior and Redeemer, to come down and set the perfect example for us. He committed the Atonement which enables us to repent for the mistakes we make in life. I have nothing but a love and respect for this act of compassion. I know that we need to do our part even as He did His, we must follow the commandments which have been given to us if we want to receive the blessings and spiritual experiences that have been made ready for us to obtain. This is why others call me a "Mormon"

How I live my faith

I love God. Simple enough statement but the meaning is nothing but complex. Love is an action word, I show my love for God by serving Him and my fellow man everyday out here in Oklahoma. I've been called as a missionary for the greatest cause I can think of, bringing souls closer to Christ. I know for myself that God answers prayers when we ask in faith the desires of our heart. I think that anyone who wants to know for themselves that God is truly listening needs to try their faith out and ask Him to show them they way of truth. The answer can come in many different ways but the most important thing is that it will indeed come. Time is a relevant thing, I know that when we expect answers in a rushed way they will not come. If we put our trust in God however we will find happiness much quicker than expected. I know this church is true and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet here on the earth today. I would challenge all who seek to know for themselves that this church is true to read and ponder the words found in the Book of Mormon.
