Hi I'm Kassie

I want to be a politician or a lawyer. I love to sing in choir. I am a college student and a great older sister. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church as the second oldest of seven children. I am a college student studying political science. I want to go to law school and become a lawyer, I also hope to some day be a politician. I love public speaking, but I know that this has come from my involvement in drama and choir. I love to sing, dance, act and perform. I am very interested in the environment and try to do my best to conserve resources and be environmentally friendly. I love reading and will seek an audiobook into my busy college schedule while I do chores. I love my family and spending time with my younger siblings and supporting my sisters with their dancing. I enjoy the outdoors and go camping with my family quite frequently, we have braved crazy trips and because of it have bonded closer together. I'm so grateful for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I go to church I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and that the teachings I learn at church help me to draw closer to God throughout my week and not just on Sundays. I have seen the way that being members of this church has brought my family closer together and I want that for my own family when I get married. I am Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and have received a witness from God that this book is true and that it really does teach of Christ and his gospel. I continue to be a Mormon because I see the way that this church helps me and other imperfect people better themselves everyday and try to become closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that we all make mistakes, but I have seen that the connection of members through this church have helped to strengthen members and improve their circumstances. I am so grateful that I know for myself that this Church is true and that it taught me to seek out these answers for myself.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church by interviewing different ward members and putting little biographies of them on our congregation's Facebook page so that everyone can get to know people a little bit better. I also participate in our congregation's choir and rehearse every Sunday to sing in church. I love sharing my knowledge of Jesus Christ through song. I feel so good when doing this because I know that I can brighten other peoples' days. My friend/teaching companion and I also visit two girls in our congregation every month to share a gospel message with them and check on them, I love doing this and have made such good friends of all of the girls and have been touched by their faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement for us. I live in a large community of members and so tying to do my very best is very important to blending in, but I know that as I live the gospel willingly, because I want to, that I will be happier and that doing so becomes easier.
