Hi I'm Lauren

I am a Hispanic American. I was born with Autism. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently 26 years old. I recently graduated from Clark College with an AA degree. I enjoy drawing, listening to music, watching Netflix, and cooking/baking. I am a cat lover and have 2 wonderful cats.(I like dogs too, but I prefer cats). I mostly enjoy drawing dragons and monsters. I plan to continue to got to college to get my degree in Animation. I hope to one day work in the filming industry such as Disney or Dreamworks as an animator.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church though I have suffered many challenges in my life. The major struggle in my life was being born with autism. There was a time I became inactive for 4 years because of my autism, and for those years I felt even more confused and empty inside. I returned after those 4 years, and felt as if I have never left. I was welcomed with open arms and with such a great love that is hard to describe. In my heart I felt that this is where I belong, and I feel ashamed that I have left. I love being a member, and I can testify the love that the Lord has for me and for my family. He has always been at my side even through the roughest times of my life. I am so grateful to know that I am not alone. I was never alone.

How I live my faith

I have 2 current callings. I am the YSA representative in my ward. I am also a teacher's assistant for girls 8-12. I serve my ward by keeping the youth in my ward up to date in any fun activities, firesides, and FHE. In my other calling I work as assistant to the teacher to provide ideas for lessons to help the young girls keep faith in their Lord and provide lessons before moving on to the "older kids" classes. I try my best to organize and provide feedback in both my callings, and to better bring the the Gospel into others lives.
