Hi I'm Baylie Maravilla

I was born in Alaska but grew up in Colorado Springs. I love attention and to make people laugh or smile. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved after 8th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade and my senior year. However, I have enjoyed these moves. My senior year I lived with my grandparents and it was a blast. I enjoy playing guitar and making people smile. Drawing is a huge hobby of mine as well. I plan to go to BYU Idaho. Serving others is my biggest passion in life and I'm so excited to serve my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon for so many reasons. I love my Heavenly Father. I've felt so alone my life and he's been there for me every step of the way. I pray daily for his help and honestly, I'm not so sure I would do with out him. I know he listens to each and everyone of us. He loves us with all his heart. The church is my happy place, as the world get worst day by day the wonderful spirit in the chapel each Sunday lifts me up and makes be strong enough to endure another week. It's truly the armor of god. Reading the Book of Mormon, going to church, and doing service for others protects me so much from the worldly things. I love this gospel and don't know where I'd be with out it.

How I live my faith

Over the years I've had many callings. I remember one of my first ones which was to serve as leader for the 12-14 year olds in our young women's group. I helped inactive girls and none members in our neighborhood come to these activities. I would invite them and I eventually became close friends through the process. I've served for the 14-15 year olds as well and we planned tons fun activities. When I served for the 16-18 year olds I helped make the younger goals feel apart of the group. I focused on making the young women one group instead of split apart by age groups. One service activity I remember very well, was when Saratoga springs Utah had a huge fire that burned down all the shrubs and trees in the mountains behind our homes. Shortly after, we had a huge rain storm that flooded many homes and streets with mud. All of the neighbors from around brought shovels and buckets and for days we cleaned the streets and peoples homes.
