Hi I'm Kylie Martin

My passion is in dancing and teaching children. I'm serving in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education. I love dancing, especially Latin ballroom, and really anything that involves music! I love teaching and working with children and my goal is to teach anywhere from preschool to 3rd grade once I graduate. I love nature and this beautiful world Heavenly Father has created for us and so I love any activity that lets me get out and enjoy the sunshine!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been raised as an active member all of my life. I've always liked the church, but when I was about 13 I started questioning if all of it was really true. I decided it was time to know for myself and so I began to read the Book of Mormon. After a few months, I finished the book and I prayed to know if it was true. I didn't get an answer. I was confused because, though I didn't know it at the time, I had slowly been gaining a testimony and I already knew it was true and I didn't understand why I didn't receive a confirmation of that. I quickly realized, though, That I had not pondered the question before I asked and I had not truly prayed with a sincere heart. I thought about the scriptures and the church for several minutes and when I felt ready I asked again, this time truly pouring my heart out to God asking to know if it all was true. I was immediately filled with feelings of love, peace, and a general warmth that filled my whole body and I knew. Since that night I have not been able to deny the truthfulness of this gospel. I'm so grateful for the church and all of the good that I has done in my life. Because of this church I know, without a doubt in my heart, that I am daughter of the true and living God. He loves me and He knows me. He has a plan for me and one day I will live again with Him, and all of my family from here on earth. I know that Jesus Christ is mt Savior and Redeemer and I am so grateful for the sacrifices He made so that I can repent and become clean again. I love this church and I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

I try to be an active member of the church by serving the other women in my ward. My calling allows me to hear about the needs of some of the sisters and what has already been done to help them, and I strive to continue to make sure that they get the care and support that they need. I am so grateful to be able to serve my fellow sisters, they truly are amazing and inspiring women and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work so closely with so many of them.
