Hi I'm Elder Alonso

I was born in Mexico. Moved to the US. I'm a Missionary for the LDS church.

About Me

I'm a nerd. I love working with computers and playing video games. I also love to learn. I was in the speech and debate team and in the physics and philosophy club in high school. I also play football and wrestling. I'm also a Eagle Scout in the boy scouts of America. Now I a missionary for the LDS church.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of all the things that I did and achieve I became prideful and saw church activities as a waste of my time. I got tire of being the one being relied upon for anything. I was there for everybody but nobody was there for me. In time I grew cynical and slowly leaving the church. For 2 years struggled I thought that i could do everything by my self that i did not need help from others. That i was alone and that my burdens were for me to carry by myself. when I saw that many of my dreams and goals where not being met and i saw the darkness that i was heading to I was finally able to humble myself, and to pray to God asking him for help and to show me a sing that he cared for me. with in that week my mom told me that the young single adult ward was inviting all graduates to come i told myself why not it not like i have anything to lose. There after the sacrament the bishop as if I could schedule a meeting with him. He helped me understand that I was not alone, that God knew who I was that he care and loved me. during the following months i never missed a church meeting. In church i met many people willing and eager to help me. There is no shortage of people that act upon the principles that the church teaches. Because of them I have been able to better myself so that I can renew the willing desire I had to help and serve others. I know that there will be trials in my life where it will be difficult to see the light, but I know that those trails are meant to teach me and to build me up not to tear me down. I Promise you that if you trust in Christ and live by his commandments you bill be blessed in ways that you thought impossible. I have seen miracles happen and you will too.

How I live my faith

I have been in the scouting program since I was 10. By the time I was 15 I was helping organize and prepare events some that where not of the church or scout related. I love to serve others. To see my work to improve peoples life is a great feeling. Even though I was busy most of the time because of my school activities I always made time to help others.
