Hi I'm Anthony

I am from Seattle, WA. I am the only member in my family and I joined the church in June of 2001 and I am LDS (aka Mormon).

About Me

I am husband, father, football coach, friend. I enjoy being with my family, helping our YM/YW to grow in the gospel, be an example to others. Our family took us around the country as I had coached 12 years of collegiate football in Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS because years ago, when I was younger in HS and College, I had other questions like where do we come from, where are we going, what's my purpose as a child of God. And i grew up in a Southern Baptist church located in Seattle but my pastor at the time couldn't answer my questions in what I was searching for. When I was in college, it was there where I met my wife and we dated for a short time because I was involved as a student-athlete playing football. I had already signed my letter of intent in another state but we decided to try and keep a relationship. She was the example of an LDS family, where I got to witness 2 brothers come home from serving a mission and 2 more prepare for a mission. I had investigated the LDS church for 4 years. So when people ask me about my story, I tell them the short version analogy: When I was attending the Southern Baptist church it was like a K-12 educational experience. When I decided to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it was like going to college. Here I have found that there is so much more that I have had the opportunity to learn in the LDS faith. It is here that I get to be sealed for time and all eternity with my wife, my kids, my family in the temple.

How I live my faith

I joined the church back in June of 2001 (same day as President Gordon B. Hinckley's birthday) in Escondido, CA. I love the gospel, I enjoy doing temple work for my family. Most of my callings have been working with the youth. I have been in the YM presidency callings in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington. The callings I have enjoyed the most have been serving as a Stake YM 1st counselor in Virginia and Washington. I enjoy visiting my home teaching families and celebrating their birthday's when they happen each year and being there at a moments notice.
