Hi I'm Grant Grimmer

I'm a military kid. I play tuba in the marching band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Missouri, Washington state, Japan and Virginia. My dad was an Air Force Officer which meant he served the USA and occasionally had to deploy. Throughout my childhood I almost always have lived near other military children. This has helped me meet a lot of people from all over the world and get to know cultures. We spent three years living in Japan where I took cultural classes and got to meet local Japanese. These experiences have made me who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always felt God's influence in my life, but I didn't receive a witness until I prayed to know if it was true. The Lord has blessed my life with a firm knowledge of God and of his plan. What I really like about the LDS church though is how everything makes sense; how truth can be found in all things and how everything proves God is real.

How I live my faith

I believe that faith is a principle of action and not an ideal. I spend my free time serving others with my church such as Hurricane Sandy and other local service projects. I love the Lord and he has given me so much that I cannot help feel I need to give some back.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Grant Grimmer
Our purpose on earth is to receive mortal bodies so we can gain experience and exercise our free agency to choose between good and evil. The experiences we gain during mortality allow us to become more like our father in heaven. We also have the opportunities to form eternal families that stay with us in the life to come.
