Hi I'm Alyssa

I grew up in Utah. I played lacrosse for 4 years. I am currently serving s a full time missionary in Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played lacrosse for my high school for 4 years and was the captain of that lacrosse team for 2 of those! I am the 4th of 5 kids in my family. I am serving as a Missionary in the Anchorage Alaska mission. I love the Lord and love being able to serve Him!

Why I am a Mormon

This church has given me so much hope. I have made a lot of mistakes and this gospel has given me reassurance that I can get over those mistakes. I have been able to learn and grow so much by attending weekly church meetings. I feel so happy when I follow the teachings that I have learned and it makes me want to share it with those around me. I get excited to think that I have found the truth. This church isn't just for me or my neighbor. It is for everyone. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come feel of the truthfulness of this wonderful gospel.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full time missionary. I will be in Alaska for 18 months away from my family to serve the people here and share with them what I believe. I am always looking for opportunities to serve the ones around me.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Alyssa
The Atonement is when the Savior ,Jesus Christ, atoned (or suffered) for our sins. He suffered for our sins so that we could make mistakes and become better from them. Because of the atonement when we make mistakes, we can be forgiven for those mistakes. He suffered so when we go through things in our own lives he will understand and can better help us. It was necessary for Christ to sacrifice HIs life for us because we all make mistakes. We are human and because He gave his life for us we can make mistakes and be forgiven. Show more Show less
