Hi I'm Danielle Jones

I am a college student at BYU. I have my mission cal to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and can't wait to serve! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but I grew up in Alpine, Utah. Growing up in such a gospel centered community really strengthened my testimony. I currently live in Provo, Utah and am a student at BYU. I have a mission call to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Spanish speaking. I leave to the Mexico MTC June 10. It's finally my time to share the gospel to the world! I love baking, driving, singing, shopping, playing the piano, and playing my guitar. I am so grateful that I had such supportive parents who wanted me to develop my talents. I especially love hanging out with my family making desserts together. Who doesn't love dessert? This is my first year away from home, and although I miss my family a lot, I know that this is where I am supposed to be. Although life is hard, I know that we can find joy through the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I, like Nephi, was born of goodly parents who taught me about the gospel at a young age. Although that is important, it is not the reason why I am a member of the church. My parents didn't force anything upon me. I chose to be here. I have learned for myself that the gospel is true. One of my favorite things about the gospel is that it's sole purpose is to bring us all joy. We have a Father in Heaven who watches out for us, and wants us to be happy. I will be forever grateful for that knowledge. My confirmation that the gospel is true happened over several years. It's like every event in my life led me closer and closer to believing that God is my Father, and that his gospel is true. I have always appreciated the gospel, but didn't know that it was true until I lived it. If you put the time into reading your scriptures, going to church, and giving service, then God will let you know that this is his gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend a single's ward in Provo, Utah. Attending church with all freshman is a unique experience and I am surprised at how much wisdom my piers have. I have always worked hard to fulfill my church callings, and always seem to enjoy giving service to others. I especially love personal scripture study, and attending the temple. I have not missed a day of scripture study since I was 14 years old. I have a strong testimony about this gospel, but as I am imperfect, I need daily reminders. I am a firm believer of scripture study. I know that the temple is a sacred place, and I feel the spirit very strongly when I go there. I am so blessed to have so many temples near where I live. For the next 18 months, I will be leaving my family to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I will be sharing the joy of the gospel to everyone I meet. Although I am nervous, I know that my Heavenly Father will bless me and help me fulfill this task. I will miss my family a lot while I am gone, but I know that they will be blessed because of my service, and the sacrifice they are giving. I love this gospel so much and desperately want others to feel the joy that comes from it. I work hard to balance school, work, and church. The life of a college student is often stressful, and time consuming. I testify that when you put Christ first, everything else falls into place. This is an amazing gospel.
