Hi I'm Crystal

I grew up in Calgary, Canada. I became a Mother to two beautiful boys through being a foster parent. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and spending time in the mountains. My favorite things to do with our children include: baking bread, camping, and building block towers (and knocking them over again and Again and AGAIN). I have written in a journal since I was 6 years old. I studied speech pathology in college, which has been very helpful with my young family. I have been married for 10 years and became a mother almost overnight to 2 awesome little boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be baptized when I was 8, but now that I’m my thirties, I still feel as though I am regularly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I wear my personality on my sleeve. I try to be honest, kind and a good person to be around. Some moments life is really hard and I fall completely short on the person I want to be. Being a full-time mother definitely adds lots of opportunities for growth. Life is busy! Raising children, supporting a spouse who runs a company, along with household chores can all be very demanding. I need an everlasting source of comfort, strength, and grace to help fill the gaps and me! My personal knowledge that we have a Savior who loves us and died for our sins, and a Father in Heaven, who has a perfect plan for each of us, provides the foundation of my life. I could not imagine going through hardships in life without the comfort of the Holy Ghost and the prospective the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings.

How I live my faith

Every day I do my best to say my personal prayers as well as gathering our family to say them. I strive to daily read the scriptures to gain knowledge and spiritual guidance. Every few months I go to the temple to do service work for others.
