Hi I'm Ammon Castleton-Rudolph

I grew up in Oregon!! I have 5 beautiful, amazing, outSTANDING siblings!!!! I LOVE music, people, and sports, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

As I said, I LOVE music; I have played the piano for 12 years, I was in our school choir program for six years, and I was in every Talent Show in High School! I have gone through the Syllabus program levels Vll and X!!! In High School I played Soccer, Football, Basketball, Wrestling, and Track! I love ALL things sporting and outdoors, and I am also an Eagle Scout! I was in National Honor Society, Key Club, and Culture Club in High School, and I learned a TON about Serving and Loving People!! In Scouting I earned my Order of the Arrow Brotherhood when I was 17, and during that Ordeal, I had the privilege of being an Elangomat!!!! I Love to serve and help people, and to learn what they need! I have worked Retail, Concrete, Minor Landscaping, Major Steel Erection, at a Golf Club, and dozens of other small odd jobs. I am active in Church, and have fulfilled various leadership positions. I am currently assigned as a Missionary in the Sweden Stockholm Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I relish in helping others find the Truth and Happiness that can be found in life, and helping them develop an internal desire to have that for themselves!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into and grew up in the Church, and it has always been a part of my life. However, it didn't play a particularly large role in my life until I grew older and learned how to apply the teachings and principles in my life!! As I have learned music, played sports, and participated in a plethora of other various activities, I have grown to appreciate people for who they are, and to see them for who they have the potential to become! Towards the end of my time in High School, I came across some problems in my life, and those problems brought forth questions from within me. "How can God ever Love me personally as a special being if there are SO many people that he has created?" and "Will God even care if one more of his creations is lost, after all, I'm only one, and I'm not that terribly amazing after all?" and many other questions along those lines. As I rounded the corner from my Junior Year to my Senior Year, I learned a LOT!! About God, about myself, and about people in general! I learned how to Love!!! I was given a small, infinitesimal taste of how God loves each and every one of us personally!! With that knowledge I set out to change not only myself, but EVERYONE I came in contact with! I looked to God with and for love, and I turned my focus outward on all of the people around me!! I focused on Loving everyone else, because I know how it feels to not have anyone to go to, nobody to rely on, and I wanted for NOBODY to EVER feel like that ever again!!! Through the Church, and friends I made, and feelings I felt, and things I learned, I felt closer to God than I had ever previously!! Through active service and effort I was able to, and did, lose myself for all those I came to love SSOO dearly!!! I hope all make the choice to come to Christ!! But, it must be a personal, internal choice and decision to go and follow Him. It may not be easy, it rarely is! But it will be the most worthwhile thing ever if the choice is made!!!

How I live my faith

I LOVE and cherish the precious Gospel I have been given. I attend Church regularly, and have fulfilled multiple callings during my time growing up in the Church, and in Scouting. I REALLY love being a Home Teacher!! We visit a couple families every month, and we have SUCH wonderful talks and lessons with them! One of the couples we visit always has me play some Church Hymns for them before we leave, and it is interesting to see which hymns the Spirit directs me to play!! I LOVE inviting the Spirit through Music, and helping others feel God's love and His Spirit!! I try to live my Faith everyday through how I interact with the people around me. My senior year of High School I would make an effort every day to give little compliments to all of my friends, and even those people I didn't know. I always try to make a point of making the people I am with feel special. I figure that if I'm worth their time, then I should always make a concerted effort to make sure that they know they are the most important person to me just then. I also have tried to change my attitude and heart to truly care for people and meet their needs even when I am not with them. My Family and the people who are my Friends are the most important, precious treasures I have, barring only God, Jesus, and the Gospel.
