Hi I'm Tyler East

I grew up in Ogden, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports as well as watch them. Basketball is my favorite. I also love to hunt and ride four-wheelers. I will be attending Utah State University after I arrive home from my mission. I want to teach math at the high school level and also be a coach. I have 3 sisters but no brothers. They are all married. I have 2 nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but I never understood the full meaning of holding a membership in this church until I was around the age of 16. I always went to my church meetings but I never got much out of them until I really started focusing on my mission. Since I committed myself to be worthy and ready to serve as a full time missionary I have become converted and experience a change of heart. Yes I have always been a member but I am proud to say that the membership I held has recently become a personal conversion.

How I live my faith

I am a youth of this church and I have held leaderships positions within my group. I try to attend the temple at least twice a week. I am faithful in fulfilling my calling as a home teacher. This means that I go to the homes of people in my ward boundary and I visit with them and ensure that they have all their needs met. I will then share a gospel message with them before I leave. I participate in seminary. Seminary is a church sponsored activity that accounts for one of my school class periods. Here I devote an hour and half to learning more about and drawing nearer to my God and Savior Jesus Christ. I faithfully attend all my church meetings as well as mission prep every Sunday morning. At mission prep I learn different teaching strategies to help prepare me for full-time missionary service. Here I can further my knowledge about my Savior and draw nearer to him.
