Hi I'm Jamison

I'm an avid outdoorsman, a Texan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a member of a family of 9, and I have grown up in Texas. I love being outside - fishing, hiking, swimming, paddling, climbing, and going to the beach. I absolutely love barbeque and playing soccer. I will be majoring in electrical engineering after I finish a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I studied the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true, and I have recieved an unmistakable answer that it is true. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, Joseph Smith was God's chosen prophet and he did restore the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this earth. We have a living prophet on the Earth today who continues to guide us to Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that He will come again. I know that by following Jesus Christ, we can have peace, joy, and purpose in this life that we would otherwise not have. I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the most by doing the small and simple things every day. By consistently saying my prayers, reading my scriptures, and acting as Jesus Christ would have me act, I feel that I am being the best person I can be. Besides the small and simple daily things, I am also serving in some bigger positions. The biggest thing that I am currently doing to live my faith is that I am serving a full time mission for 2 years in South East Brazil. On my mission, I am serving others and inviting them to recieve the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Another way that I have been able to live my faith is by serving as a family history consultant. I took a class on how to help other people connect with their ancestors on FamilySearch.org and I really enjoy helping others do just that. It is amazing to me the spirit that can be felt and the joy that is found in connecting the generations of your family. It is my testimony that the family is ordained of God and that the family is the key to happiness in this life as well as in the life to come.
