Hi I'm Calla

California Grown. Slurpee Enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California as the youngest of three. I loved sports growing up, so I tried everything - basketball, volleyball, soccer, you name it. My favorite though, ended up being martial arts, which I have trained in for about 12 years. I am going to college at Brigham Young University. I love playing the guitar and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives hope and a sense of purpose for my life. I know why I am here and I know that after this life, I can live with my Father in Heaven again through the Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The doctrine of the LDS Church and the values it stands for give me structure and goals to strive for. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God. Jesus Christ is our loving Savior, and through His Gift of the Atonement, I can be forgiven of my sins and comforted through my trials. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, ancient scripture that was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith. It gives another accurate account of Jesus Christ and His ministry on the earth. I'm so grateful for the Church and the direction it has given to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by allowing my religion to be present in all aspects of my life. I work to live as a disciple of Christ every day of the week. Within my congregation, I help lead the women by planning activities, teaching Sunday lessons, and being aware of their welfare. My congregation is like a second family, and I love participating in church activities with those who share my faith. I hope to begin my service as a full-time LDS missionary later this year.
