Hi I'm Braden Dean

I was born and raised in Ontario Canada. I am serving the Lord as a Missionary in the Canada Winnipeg Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was called to serve in the Lisbon Portugal Mission but had to return home due to medical reasons. Now I have been called to serve in the Winnipeg Canada Mission. I love to play sports, traveling, learning about other cultures and languages. I especially enjoy serving and helping others. I speak Portuguese and a little bit of French and Spanish. Family is extremely important to me and I love mine with all of my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has changed my life, it has changed who I am and what I strive to become. Growing up in the Church I had to realize for myself whether the Church was true or not. I trusted in God and that he would answer my prayers. I studied, had a desire to know of the truthfulness of the Gospel, and then prayed. I have always felt the spirit each time I've prayed or studied about the messages taught. I have come to know through the power of the Holy Ghost that God lives! He is our Heavenly Father and loves us more than we can understand or comprehend. He has a strong desire for us to be happy, to succeed, and wants us to pray to him. I know that we are all spirit children of God. That we have a great importance to Him and he will guide us. He has sent prophets to the Earth to help guide and direct us. God established families so we could learn, grow, love, and comfort one another. I know Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. That he lived, died, and was resurrected so that we may too live again. He is our perfect example of love. Christ lived and dedicated his life to bless the lives of those who lived before Him, at His time, and who came after Him. I know that many truths, authority, and important ordinances were changed or lost after the death of Christ and His Apostles. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, that Joseph Smith was called to be a Prophet in these the latter-days, that the authority, keys, truths, and all that was lost was restored. Joseph Smith did translate the Book of Mormon by the power of God. We have a Prophet on the Earth today even Thomas S. Monson. I testify that each and every single one of you reading this may be able to know of the truthfulness of these things for yourself by asking God in the name of Jesus Christ, having a sincere desire to learn and to act upon the knowledge you receive. I love the Lord with all of my heart and pray that all may come unto Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by action. I am doing my best to help those in the communities I live. I help by inviting others to come unto Christ, to establish faith in Him or to help them grow in faith. The best way of doing this is by example. Being a representative of Christ through our actions and deeds not by words alone. Currently I have been able to help offer service at peoples homes and community buildings/programs. Tonight I will help serve at a Soup Kitchen. From bigger actions to simply smiling and just saying "hello" is a great way to help someone feel better today.
