Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in England, joined the Church there, and emigrated to South Africa in 1990

About Me

I am mom to 2 boys and 2 girls. I love watching soccer. Work full time in office administration

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church in 1986, after meeting the missionaries who knocked on my door one miserable, rainy afternoon. Something about these two young men interested me, and I continued to invite them to visit me, learning of the Gospel and the restored Church. I gained a strong testimony of the truth and was baptised just two months after these young men knocked at my door

How I live my faith

I serve as Compassionate Service Coordinator in my branch I also teach the Gospel Principles class. The Gospel Principles class is for people investigating the Church, and for new members. It teaches the fundamentals of the Gospel and gives an understanding of the principles of the Church.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Karen
A testimony is personal revelation that is gained by prayer, and given to us by the Holy Ghost. A testimony is knowledge that our Heavenly Father loves us, that Jesus Christ came to earth to carry out the infinite Atonement, that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the restoration, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed the true Church Show more Show less
