Hi I'm Victoria

I grew up in the country. I take a lot of pictures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University-Provo. I am studying family life: human development and I hope to become a teacher or doctor. I like to go sight seeing, fishing, shooting, mudding, riding, taking pictures, traveling, swimming, and spending time with my friends. I love to talk about and teach the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but when I became I teenager I decided that I didn't want to go to church and that I needed to find out for myself if I believed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the only true church, and that the gospel was true. As I didn't attend church I grew very unhappy, and took part in "worldly" doings. I wanted so badly to be happy, and knew that was I was doing was not making me happy, so I began at the beginning of the Book of Mormon. As I read the book I had these wonderful 'shivers' that brought tears to my eyes, and as I read more and more I just knew that it was true. I attended church then because I wanted to, not because I was just supposed to. I went to Youth Conference with many kids in my Stake, where we went to the Kirtland Temple. I have never felt the Spirit so strongly, than I did when I was in the Temple or when I was in the Storehouse at the other church history site. I am now so very happy that I am a strong member of this church, and I am proud to say that I am a Mormon. As I make better choices I feel happiness rushing through me, and I love having small conversations with my friends, or with strangers about what I believe and now KNOW to be true. I am thankful that I have been able to have the freedom to choose for myself to learn about the gospel and I love that I am able to be a part of a religion that answers my questions and truly makes sense to me. I will continue to share the gospel and live the gospel as I learn more and more for myself each day that I read my scriptures, pray, and attend church on Sundays, and go to the temple.

How I live my faith

I teach the 12 and 13 year old kids in my ward during Sunday school, I help in the nursery with the younger kids, and I visit teach. I love attending church events and doing crafts with the other women in my ward and stake. I have also helped coordinate institute (classes during the week that people can attend to learn more), and been a ward missionary. I am waiting to go to Brazil to serve as a full-time missionary and I cannot wait to teach and serve those wonderful people.
