Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up just south of Washington DC, I love to sing and play guitar. I am currently studying at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I was baptized when I was 8. I'm an Elementary Education major at Brigham Young University. I enjoy anything that has to do with being creative and learning how to do new things. I enjoy rowing and rowed competitively in High School. I love to discover new music, and I love to write my own! At BYU, I have the opportunity to be in a indie folk band as well as an A cappella group. Singing is my passion. My immediate family is all Mormon and that is a great blessing in my life. I have two older siblings and they are both married to wonderful people and my first niece or nephew is on its way!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of members and I see this as one of my greatest blessings because I was raised with a knowledge of Gods love for me. I continue to follow His gospel because I have experiences daily that strengthen my faith in Him. Being a member of this church is important to me because I know that through this gospel, I can come to live with my Heavenly Father again after I pass away. As a mormon, I have the knowledge that families can be together forever. This knowledge is such a blessing because I love my family so dearly and I find peace in knowing that death isn't the end.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something I strive to improve on daily. I try to be an example to my peers as one who loves Heavenly Father and wants to represent him in my daily life. I go to church every Sunday and participate in my meetings. In High School, I participated in early morning seminary. I believe that living my faith every day is essential to show my love and appreciation for the Savior's Atonement.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The purpose of a Mormon missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, Hist Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. When missionaries come to teach, they will teach you from lessons about the restoration of the gospel, the plan of salvation, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the commandments, or laws and ordinances of the gospel. Missionaries strive to share their love of the Gospel because when you have something that makes you happy, you want to share it! Show more Show less
